Dear Mack Truck Company,
I have been driving for 23 years and have driven Peterbilt, KW, Freightliner, International and a very old Mack. But I was very surprised when Volvo Rents in Merced/Salida California received a 2011 Mack Pinnacle, I was pleasantly surprised. I got the truck with 42 miles on it and now I have 7600 miles and I know that’s not a lot but so far it has not stopped impressing me. I run hills, flats hauling heavy construction equipment and I was afraid the M drive Transmission would not work out but I have to say it is awesome. After telling my dad that has driven for 62 years he is also thoroughly impressed with the truck. The M8 motor is a force to be reckoned with. After driving CAT, Cummins and Detroit, Mack runs circles around them. And as far as the cab features the cab rocks for the driver. Everything is in reach and quiet like driving a luxury car. I just wanted to let you know the 2011 Mack Pinnacle with the M Drive Transmission is a great truck and as a driver I am proud to drive this truck.

“We were in our motorhome on Father’s Day heading to Hilton Head when the rear brakes locked up causing heat and a lot of smoke with the burning smell…Very scarey! We pulled into a gas station in Close mbira, SC. I called Juston Byington the Service Manager at Shealy Truck Cemter whom I have known for some time, but never expected to reach him. He has always been so helpful in the past I told him we were stranded and could not move our coach. He informed me that he would call his Columbia Service Manager, he then called me back and said Johnnie Dixion, his Service Manger, was with his Family for Father’s Day but he would be at the coach in 30 minutes. Upon arrival, Johnnie worked on the coach for just over an hour, he got the brakes released, then he and his wife lead us to Shealy Truck Center in Columbia. He then had us follow him to downtown Columbia for a hotel for the night and gave us some recommendations of several good restaurants to try. Jonnie truly went above and beyond. He had the coach in his shop at 7:20 AM Monday morning. At 8:50 A M we got a email explaining what was wrong with the coach and it would be repaired in mid afternoon . He told us to be at the shop at 3:00 PM. As we pulled in the lot Johnnie, the Service Manager, was driving the coach back into the lot after a successful test drive . He was the most kind, caring, professional indivaul we have ever met. And after we left and headed onto our destination, Johnnie called me at 5:30 pm to make sure everything was ok with the coach. In our eyes, he is truely a very positive asset to the Shealy Company and a blessing as an individual. “
