JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the handling of incoming and outgoing freight, and putting parts in proper bin locations for pickup, delivery, or stock. Backing up other team members to assure prompt and efficient handling of customer orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check in all incoming freight and deliver packing slips promptly to the inventory control clerk, notifying clerk of any discrepancies or freight damage. Check thoroughly for any damaged pieces in the incoming freight. Put all parts in appropriate bin locations promptly after checking in. Loading and unloading of all freight shipments, incoming and outgoing. Directly responsible for all “outgoing” freight shipments: UPS, Emery, Branch Transfers, Bus, etc. Responsible for making sure parts are ready at particular delivery times. Distribute “emergency” ordered parts to proper will-call bins with picking-ticket attached. Copy of picking-ticket to go to proper salesperson. Keep files for incoming and outgoing freight bills organized. Pick up parts for outside vendor purchases as needed. Deliver parts to customers as needed. Run transfer shuttle to and from our Duncan store as needed. Warehouse and drive to be swept as needed on a daily basis, but with waiting no longer than a week between cleanings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a physically demanding position which will include the ability to life a maximum of 75 lbs.
Must have a clean driving record and able to operate a forklift.
High School Graduate or Equivalent, with the ability to understand instructions, read and write.
Ability to withstand exposure to noise, dust, heat, and exhaust fumes.
Must be able to stand for entire shift.
